And one of the things you didn't really show were indie games. You didn't really show any last year, either. Now clearly indie games are coming to PS4 all the time. So why aren't you showing them anymore?
One of the things we have realised is that these video collages of ten indie games shown in a minute, is almost meaningless. Nobody can really learn anything about the games in that sort of time. It is almost viewed as wasted time.
There was a time and a place, in the early stages of the life of PS4, to make statements. It was more about making a statement that we are serious about the indies, and that we are doing this and that with the indies. No Man's Sky and so on and so forth, which broke out from that and carved its own niche. You know, right now, we have tonnes of indie content on the platform. And the fact that we elected, along with many other things such as Gran Turismo and PlayLink, not to give it its own spot on the stage this week, in no way means it is not important, or it is not there, or we don't worry about it. It was just good to talk about in 2013/2014. It is less relevant now. We have VR to talk about now, for example.
It’s official: Destiny 2 PS4 exclusive content (the exotic weapons, the Strike mission and PvP Crucible map) will never arrive on Xbox One and even on PC
In an interview with italian site Multiplayer.it, game director Luke Smith shared some clarifications regarding Destiny 2 exclusive content for PS4. According to that, all the exclusive content for PlayStation 4 (the exotic weapons, the Strike mission and PvP Crucible map) will not arrive on Xbox and even on PC.
Bungie Community Manager in a recent video interview promoted PlayStation 4 Pro version of Destiny 2 ahead of Xbox One X. DeeJ was asked about the resolution at which Destiny 2 will run at Xbox One X, and to this he replied that 4K resolution has been confirmed only for PlayStation 4 Pro, and they have not made any promises about Scorpio (Xbox One X) as of yet.
"We confirmed 4K for PlayStation 4 Pro, have not made any promises about Scorpio (Xbox One X) as of yet. It's very recent development they just announced two days ago, so we are working behind the scene to see what it's future holds for us and these are announcements that will make at some point in time." (check video interview below)
There is no doubt that Destiny 2 on Xbox One X will be a 4K resolution, it's just that Bungie can't talk about it publically yet due to marketing deal between Sony and Activision. We have seen this scenario earlier as well. Bungie at the time of Destiny 2 reveal event announced that the game will run at 30FPS on PS4 Pro, and didn't share any details about Project Scorpio port. Later on (after E3 2017 press conference), Bungie confirmed 30FPS for Destiny 2 on Xbox One X.
In a press note issued to Digital Foundry, EA's Patrick Soderlund confirmed that Anthem gameplay demo was running in real-time on Xbox One X. The publication did a short tech analysis of the Anthem E3 2017 gameplay demo and came to a conclusion that it was running at 2160p checkerboard resolution. This is what Digital Foundry said:
"In a previous version of this article, we stated that it wasn't clear what hardware this demo was running on - in fact, EA's Patrick Soderlund does confirm that it is a real-time Xbox One X demonstration. Many apologies for the error, we will have a deeper look at the demo very soon, but we can confirm 2160p checkerboarding from our tests - something that would be unlikely on PC and very much in line with Frostbite's console technologies."
Anthem is scheduled to launch in Q4 2018 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Drew Karpyshyn, the man who worked on the first two Mass Effect as Lead Writer, and left Bioware in 2012 and then came back in 2015, is working on Anthem as one of the writers.
Donc le jeu est loin d'utiliser toute la puissance de la console . C'est hallucinant...
In a behind closed doors presentation with Microsoft, we were given a statistic that seems particularly impressive. Forza Motorsport 7 content director John Wendl told us that there's a 30 percent surplus on the GPU, even when running the game at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. That's surprisingly not-close to the Xbox One X's limits.
Sea Of Thieves et Ashen début 2018 c'est mieux que début 2017.
Ashen, the indie game by New Zealand developer Aurora44, will launch exclusively on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC on April 30th, 2018.
Ashen is an action RPG set in an Open World. There is no sun, and the natural light that exists comes from eruptions that cover the land in ash.
This is a dark, unforgiving world for players to explore, where those you meet in multiplayer are key to survival.
It is a blend of combat from Dark Souls added to the passive multiplayer and art style of games like Journey.
This is a world where nothing lasts, no matter how tightly you cling to it.
At its core, Ashen is about forging relationships; players may cross paths with one another, and choose to guide those they trust to their camp, encouraging them to rest at the fire and perhaps remain.
When someone joins your settlement, they come with unique skills and crafting abilities to bolster your chances of survival.
Yesterday, Microsoft revealed the Xbox One X, the most powerful console ever created. Since its launch, the PlayStation 4 Pro has struggled to reach the 4K resolution with only a handful of titles supporting it on Sony’s console. However, Microsoft blew expectations out of the water when they announced dozens of 4K games for Project Scorpio…we mean Xbox One X. Here’s a list of all games that we know are going to be 4K.
Forza Motorsport 7 was unveiled only a few hours ago during the Microsoft E3 briefing. Shortly after this, a post was made on the official Forza Motorsport website where a bunch of screenshots were released showing off the stunning scenery and beautiful vehicles. We've compiled all of them here for you to check out, make to take note of all the different vehicles you see.
E3 2017 hasn’t even started yet and it looks like Microsoft is already dropping the bombs. As we all know, PlayStation 4 Pro allows developers to use around 5 GB of RAM for games. That’s all well and good but it isn’t a substantial leap over a standard PlayStation 4. Well, Project Scorpio blows the competition out of the water. This morning, Mike Ybarra confirmed that Microsoft has been tuning the console so now it allows 9 GB of RAM for games. This means that games will not only load faster, but they’ll also be bigger and feature higher quality textures. Expect open-world titles like Fallout 4 to experience less problems on the upcoming console. The added memory allows developers to do more with their titles, ensuring that the best versions of third-party games are on Project Scorpio. Microsoft really has created a monster! https://mspoweruser.com/project-scorpio-now-allows-9-gb-gddr5-ram-games/
