But his games still look great, there is no denying that. And Detroit: Become Human looks like it will continue that trend, according to an IGN First report. Detroit: Become Human, which already looks stunning, will benefit from a native 4K mode on the PS4 Pro—so it should be a hell of a looker, and one of the best looking Sony games (which really is saying something!)
You can check out IGN’s video on the game for yourself below. Detroit: Become Human will be launching next month exclusively on the PS4. https://gamingbolt.com/detroit-become-human-will-be-native-4k-on-ps4-pro
Insomniac Games, the studio behind Sunset Overdrive and the upcoming Spiderman for PS4, has hired former Naughty Dog game designer James Cooper.
Cooper and Insomniac announced the news through Twitter. “We are very glad to have you on board!”, Insomniac’s official Twitter account tweeted. “Welcome @_James_Cooper to the Insomniac and #SpiderManPS4 family ya’ll!”
We’ve been speculating on the next chapter of the Gears of War saga for some time now -- but we could very well be hearing about what’s coming up sooner rather than later.
And the latest tease comes from none other than rapper/actor Ice-T, who has taken to Twitter with news that a possible Gears of War announcement will be coming from him this week. You can see the tweet in question below. http://comicbook.com/gaming/2018/04/17/rapper-actor-ice-t-gears-of-war-announcement-xbox-one/
In late March 505 Games and Hello Games announced a deal to publish the Xbox One version of No Man’s Sky at retail stores worldwide. The game’s official box art already confirmed that it will support HDR and be enhanced for the Xbox One X hardware.
According to an updated listing on Amazon.it, the game will launch June 29th for Xbox One. This is not your usual placeholder date and is definitely inside the Summer window, so there’s a good chance it’s a solid date.

Subscribers to Microsoft's Game Pass service (which offers access the an increasing catalog of Xbox One games for a fee) can look forward to playing through most of the Halo series for a relatively low price soon, as Halo: The Master Chief Collection hits game pass.
The news was revealed by an ad for the service from Microsoft, which showed a user grabbing titles from the service as though they were fast-food meals in a bag. The Master Chief collection was among them, confirming the game is headed to the service joining all of Microsoft's current (like Sea of Thieves) and upcoming (like Crackdown 3) console exclusives.

The Division on Xbox One X Pushes Almost 44% More Pixels Than on PS4 Pro
YouTube channel VG Tech published a detailed tech analysis yesterday, though, mainly with regards to pixel count. According to his findings, The Division uses dynamic resolution when needed on Xbox One X (just as it does on PlayStation 4 Pro) with the lowest native pixel count being 3290×1850. However, most of the time The Division actually runs at native 4K resolution (3840×2160) on Xbox One X, which is rather impressive considering the detailed open world created by Ubisoft Massive.
By comparison, PlayStation 4 Pro very rarely manages native 4K. VG Tech found the lowest resolution on PS4 Pro to be 2432×1368, while the average resolution in gameplay scenes is approximately 2880×1620. That’s quite the gap with the Xbox One X’s most common occurrence; in fact, as you may know native 4K resolution translates to over 8 million pixels while 2880×1620 equates to a little over 4.6 million pixels, that is to say a pixel count advantage of approximately 44% for Microsoft’s console.
Cory Barlog is an incredible director—he brought us what was, until recently, the best game in the God of War franchise with God of War 2, and then he reinvented it again with the upcoming God of War, which may end up going down as one of the all time great games. Barlog is, clearly, a man with a golden touch.
And now, he wants to exercise that touch on something that is truly his own—it becomes easy to forget that God of War is ultimately not Barlog’s own IP. It was created by David Jaffe.
Speaking in an interview with the Skill Up YouTube channel, Barlog talked about his desire to do his own IP some time. “I really would love to create something of my own next, something that really is truly 100% coming from my original vision,” he said.
Which, I hope, he does! He has brought God of War to a very good place, and it is easy to expect that others at Sony Santa Monica can carry the standard going forward. I do want to see what Barlog could do if he got full creative freedom and reigns to do something that was entirely his own.
