Sur quelle licence Nintendo Suda51 pourrait-il travailler ?

Avec le fait que le remake d'Avance Wars 1+2 qui arrive en décembre, dont les jeux GBA ont été créé et développé par Intelligent Systems, sera lui développé par le studio américain WayForward (Shantae) et que de leur coté MercurySteam semble bien parti pour prendre la relève des jeux de plateforme Metroid, quelle autre licence Nintendo pourrait revenir via un studio tier ?

Vous avez eu l'info ici plus tôt dans la journée, mais brièvement relatée. Suda51 a partagé avec le site web VGC ses souhaits pour ses 10 prochaines années, voulant concevoir pas moins de 3 nouvelles licences avec son studio Grasshopper Manufacture. Le bonhomme a aussi partagé que si ça se faisait, il aimerait bien travailler avec Nintendo sur une de leur anciennes licences. Mais laquelle ?

Et bien, ça serait The Mysterious Murasame Castle. Pas vraiment une série, il s'agit d'un jeu sorti sur Famicom (NES) exclusivement au Japon et mettant en scène le jeune samouraï Takamaru que vous connaissez probablement via Super Smash Bros ou Nintendo Land. Si Kid Icarus et Metroid sont frère et soeur à leur création, ce jeu est la même chose avec The Legend of Zelda : le gameplay est assez similaire en surface, mais diffère pour être un jeu d'action principalement. Un jeu qui a visiblement marqué Suda51 lorsqu'il était encore chez le studio Human Entertainement.

Suda51 n'est pas le seul à avoir eu des envies sur Takamaru. Hideki Kamiya de PlatinumGames aurait lui aussi aimé travailler sur un nouvel opus avec la formule BTA dont ils sont spécialistes. Mais Nintendo a produit une suite spirituelle sur 3DS, Hana Samurai: Art of the Sword et le retour de Takamaru s'il devait se faire à mon avis ça sera pas avant son inclusion définitive dans un futur Super Smash Bros...

Atlus a détaillé lors de sa 4e et dernière présentation les DLC qui accompagneront la sortie de Shin Megami Tensei V, dont un mode facile

(gratuit). Il est également mention du New Game +.

Return of the True Demon – releasing November 12 (¥ 980 or $8.59)

In the World of Shadows, Sophia gives the protagonist a menorah, which is said to grant either great power or a swift death. With the menorah in hand, the protagonist will be forced to face the terrible Fiends that appear before him. Once a fiend is defeated, they will be unlocked for fusion. And by defeating the Demon-fiend, his Essence can be obtained. Can you survive against the Fiends and their deathly power?

A Goddess in Training – releasing November 12 ( ¥ 450 or $3.95)

Near the Tokyo Tower, the protagonist is stopped by the goddess Artemis. Help her in her quest to find a training partner. Clear the mission to recruit Artemis and unlock her for demon fusion.

The Rage of a Queen – releasing November 12 ( ¥ 400 or $3.50)

Cleopatra gets stripped of her position as a representative and gets banished from the Bethel Egypt branch. The protagonist then receives a request to check on her. Clear the mission to recruit Cleopatra and unlock her for demon fusion.

The Doctor’s Last Wish – releasing November 12 ( ¥ 400 or $3.50)

A Bethel researcher working on a certain project has gone missing. The protagonist then seeks out the researcher, only to cross paths with the Tyrant Mephisto. Fulfill certain conditions to recruit Mephisto and unlock him for demon fusion.

Mitama Dance of Wealth / Mitama Dance of EXP / Mitama Dance of Miracles – releasing November 12 ( ¥ 350 or $3.00 each)

Mitama Dance of Wealth will cause Saki Mitama, a rare demon that drops expensive items, to appear at a greatly increased rate. This should make it much easier to earn Macca. With Mitama Dance of EXP, Ara Mitama and Kushi Mitama, rare demons that drop items that grant experience, will appear at a greatly increased rate. This should be just the thing to help your party level up. Lastly, Mitama Dance of Miracles will increase the appearance rate of Nigi Mitama, a rare demon that drops Glory, which is essential for obtaining Miracles. Seeking Glory will greatly assist you in your adventures.

Safety difficulty

The Safety difficulty will also be added as a free DLC. This mode can be enjoyed even by those who are new to RPGs.

Shin Megami Tensei V DLC bundle ( ¥ 2,952 or $25.88 without game, ¥ 12,830 or $112.49 with game)

We will also offer the SMTV DLC Bundle, which contains all paid DLC for a discounted price. In addition, there will be a set that includes the digital version of SMT5 and all DLC.

Is there any post-game content like New Game Plus, where character stats are carried over to a new playthrough?

Yes, you will be able to start a new playthrough with certain attributes carried over after clearing the game. There are two ways to transfer save data: “Newborn” and “Reborn”.

Newborn: Transfers Demon Compendium and enemy analysis data, but the difficulty will not be affected too drastically. Some demons and Miracles can only be obtained with multiple playthroughs, so please choose the method that works best for you.

Reborn: Transfers protagonist level, skills, all demons, Macca, items, etc. for easier replay.

10 ans de Nintendo Direct

Et oui, dans quelques heures ça va faire 10 ans que Nintendo entretient les Nintendo Direct sur YouTube. Par contre n'attendez pas de moi pour faire une retrospective

. En 10 ans, il y a eu un total de 168 présentations, en comptant pour faire court les "Sakurai Presents", "Nindies Showcases" ou encore les "Nintendo Digital Events" pour l'E3.

Le tout premier Nintendo Direct avait eu lieu le 21 octobre 2011 exclusivement pour le public japonais. Une présentation très austère comparé à aujourd'hui, où Satoru Iwata l'ancien président de Nintendo (décédé depuis) blablatait avec très peu de gameplay sur un fond blanc. Ce premier Nintendo Direct japonais couvrait principalement des jeux 3DS avec quelques jeux Wii en fin de vie de la console.

En Amérique les Nintendo Direct étaient présentés par Reggie Fils-Aime et Bill Trinnen et cela dès 2011 aussi. Nous aussi en Europe on aura eu droit à nos Nintendo Direct spécifiques et présenté par l'ancien président de NoE, Satoru Shibata.

Si la formule des séquences rapides entre les jeux était déjà rodé à ce stade, depuis notamment le décès d'Iwata en 2015 les Nintendo Direct se sont formalisés entres les différentes régions et sont présentés principalement par Yoshiaki Koizumi et parfois Shinya Takahashi quelque soit le territoire. Entre 2015 et 2017 aussi, c'était la période où il n'y avait pas eu de Nintendo Direct majeur (un peu comme en 2020).

Les Nintendo Direct ont beaucoup évolué dans leur visuels et sont rapidement devenus des rendez-vous très attendus par la communauté de joueurs.

Pokémon Evolutions - Le Visionnaire [EP03]

Le troisième épisode de Pokémon Evolutions la mini-série YouTube où l'on suit les évènements des jeux par le point de vu d'autres personnages non jouables.

Cette fois, on suit Lysandre le leader de la Team Flare, sur le point de concrétiser ses plans à Kalos.
