Vous l'avez trouvé comment ce retour en plateau de l'équipe de Geoff Keighley après une année 2020 en webcam ? Sachant que l'on nous promet d'autres évènements d'ici septembre, mais je me fais pas d'illusion, ici c'était surtout pour surfer sur l'E3 et on sait Geoff avoir une certaine rivalité grandissante pour être "the place to be" durant la période de juin.
C'est donc avec une certaine attention que j'ai suivi cette édition 2021 du Summer Game Fest... Et je l'ai trouvé moyen mais ça n'est pas étonnant en fait. Les seuls jeux qui m'intéresse niveau goût c'était Metal Slug Tactics, Planet of Lana, Tales of Arise, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Solar Ash et Elden Ring qui a dû ravir Geoff de l'avoir juste avant l'E3.
Tantôt certains trailers étaient inutilement long tantôt c'était trop court ou confus (genre Prime Matter, c'est un éditeur ou un "label" de Koch Media comme j'ai pu lire après ? Ça n'a pas été expliqué durant le show). Du meublage avec cette fois 3 performances musicales, Netflix ou encore le nouveau film avec Ryan Reynolds et la dizaine de YouTubers, pfff....
Aussi, trop de blabla "merci de croire en ma vision" plusieurs fois dans le show et surtout pour placer le sponso Amazon aussi. Et puis désolé mais la présentation de Deviation Games, le "nothing to show today" m'a tué, s'il n'y a pas de jeu vidéo de présenté ou si ça n'est pas lié au jeu vidéo comme on a ey avec Netflix ou Ryan Reynolds, ça ne m'enchante pas. Et puis genre 3 éditeurs ce sont dit "et si on demandait à Geoff d'avoir un spot pour montrer des skins ?" (Overwatch 2, Paladins et Fall Guys).
Et justement parlant, Fall Guys et Among Us n'avaient rien à faire là si c'était juste pour montrer 1 skin et "on a une annonce : on a une roadmap sur Among Us maintenant !".
Mon prochain achat garanti qui sera mon premier Tales of.
Jamais joué aux Metal Slug (je sais que ce sont des shooter runner) ni à des tacticals en dehors de Fire Emblem, mais moi j'aime ce genre de diversification d'une IP
Alors c'était varié en effet on ne pourra jamais reprocher un évènement de tisser dans du triple A et de l'indépendant en même temps et c'est peut être ça qui est meilleur à faire. Mais l'enchainement des présentations, c'est ça le problème que j'ai avec les show de Geoff (le dernier en date, le Gamescom 2020 Opening Night Live, à mourir). Je ne l'ai pas trouvé fameux pour le coup. Question de goût. Et vous, quel est le votre ?
Demain on a l'Ubisoft Forward et dimanche on a Xbox+Bethesda Showcase et Square-Enix Presents, en espérant être un peu plus concerné par les jeux.
Voici des scans issus du magazine japonais Famitsu sur le jeu Monark par d'anciens développeurs d'Atlus (Shin Megami Tensein) à paraître le 14 octobre au Japon (Switch, PS4, PS5) et donc on devrait avoir une présentation demain.
On y voit des screenshots ainsi que les artworks des protagonistes.

The protagonist is voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara. The stuffed rabbit character is voiced by Shigeru Chiba.
The story follows the True Student Council, which was established to solve the abnormal situations in the school. The protagonist, who becomes the deputy head of the council, chooses a buddy from four characters to defy the unreasonable.
The main story has multiple endings. There are different routes for each of the four buddy characters. To make multiple playthroughs easier, you can also skip shared routes and advance through different buddy routes.
Battles are command-based with a free move turn system. Increasing your madness will allow you to use more powerful skills, but if you increase it too much, you will go insane and rampage against targets both friend and foe, making it impossible to fight.
There is also an “EGO” system, which represents the player’s desire levels of pride, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, and sloth. These change depending on your diagnosis and the choices you make, and also affect the demons you can employ as your “underlings.”
Underlings’ appearances and voices can be customized.
The magazine also has an interview with the developers. Here are some key tidbits:
Hayashi and Hoshino: “We got excited talking about Shin Megami Tensei IF, and how nowadays there are no games like it, so we constructed the prototype for Monark with consideration for the world view and atmosphere we thought important to preserve in a school RPG project.”
Haysashi: “I can’t thank [the creators who joined the project sensing mine and Hoashino’s enthusiasm] enough. The chemistry with the other creators was there and we were able to develop the game with the idea team.”
Suzuki: “While I’m participating in the project as a supervisor, I hve been able to give detailed advice to Hayashi and Ito, who are writing the scenario.”
Ito: “I worked on the stories for 100 students.”
Masuko: “I worked on about 40 songs.”
Both the four-minute debut trailer and six-minute background music introduction video for Monark are scheduled to premiere on June 10 at 12:00 JST.
Yuji Naka confirme sur son compte Twitter être partie de Square-Enix, mais précise qu'il expliquera le pourquoi plus tard. Le créateur de Sonic the Hedgehog ajoute que partir en retraite est une possibilité qu'il n'exclu pas au sujet de ses futures plans, à 55 ans.

I cannot tell you why right now, but I hope to be able to tell you when the time comes. As for my future plans, I’m already 55 years old, so retirement is in the cards.
