Censé sortir seulement dans un mois, la prometteuse et généreuse extension de Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn, intitulée Heavensward se pare d'un nouveau thème principal chanté de toute beauté, succédant au déjà exceptionnel Answers. Et pour ravir les mélomanes grand fans de la saga, c'est Nobuo Uematsu, géniteur des OST de touts les Final Fantasy principaux du I au X (ce dernier ayant été composé en compagnie de Junya Nakano et Masashi Hamauzu, qui lui se fera connaitre plus tard pour avoir signé la bande-son du XIII) qui a mis la main à la patte.

La chanteuse n'est autre que la vocaliste américaine Susan Calloway, elle qui a déjà chantée sur Answers pour Final Fantasy XIV et qui a aussi été personnellement engagée par Uematsu pour les reprises de A Place to Call Home - Melodies of Life (Final Fantasy IX), Suteki da ne (Final Fantasy X), Eyes on me (Final Fantasy VIII), et Kiss Me Goodbye (Final Fantasy XII) au sein des différents concerts Distant World.

Heavensward sort le 23 juin sur PC, Playstation 4 et Playstation 3.
