Les ayants droits actuels cherchent à revendre les droits d'exploitation de cette saga pour l'exploitation en film et en jeu vidéo. Les enchères commencent à 2 milliards de dollars.
The Zaentz Co. holdings encompass rights to exploit “LOTR” and “The Hobbit” properties in film, video games, merchandising, live events and theme parks. It also includes limited matching rights should the Tolkien estate decide to make movies or other content based on two compilations of Tolkien writings that were published after his death in 1973: “The Silmarillion” and “The Unfinished Tales of Numenor and Middle-Earth.”
D'après certaines fuites GT7 aurait finalement le droit a un mode ray tracing en plein jeu contrairement à ce qui a été annoncé il y a quelques mois de ça.
Il y aurait deux modes graphiques:
- mode performance à 60 fps
- mode fidélité avec Ray Tracing et plus de détails graphiques.
Prévu en 2021, le jeu s est vu repousser sa date de sortie comme beaucoup de jeux prévus l'an passé. Aucune date définitive n à été communiqué mais la fiche du jeu sur le psn affiche désormais le 25 mars 2022.
Pour rappel le jeu est une exclu console PS5 temporaire.
Suite aux rachats surprise et énorme d Activision blizzard pour une valeur record dans le milieu de 70 milliards de dollars. Activision continuera à sortir des jeux sur PlayStation mais se laisse le droit a des exclusivités pour Xbox.
Le dernier patch offert par Eidos Montreal apportera un mode ray tracing a la fois sur ps5 et sur series x et apporte quelques corrections:

A new patch is being deployed on PlayStation and Xbox consoles today, Nov 17. A patch will also be coming to PC in the next few days - tentatively on Friday, Nov 19 - and patch notes will be posted on Steam
Most notably, this patch adds a Ray Tracing Mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X, performance improvements for base PS4, and an uncapped framerate option for Xbox Series S (recommended for VRR displays). We're also adding a Save Rollback feature and fixes for various issues. Please see below for full details.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X
Ray Tracing Mode is now available in the Video settings menu.
All Consoles
Save Rollback: A hidden Save Rollback feature was added to allow users who have encountered blocking issues to rollback to the start of the chapter of their choice. Please see this thread for more details.
PlayStation 4
Improved performance on the original PS4 model.Changed the sensitivity required for the Visor input so that controllers with more wear and tear may still detect the button press.
Xbox Series S
An option to uncap the FPS was added, allowing users to run the game between 30 and 60 FPS. Please note uncapping FPS may lead to a less stable framerate in some areas. Recommended for users with a VRR display.
General improvements
