Game-Key Card : un concept hybride (bien que certains jeux risquant toutefois d'évoluer vers la cartouche)

"Contrairement aux cartouches classiques (comme celles de Mario Kart World ou Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition), les Game-Key Cards ne contiennent aucun fichier. Insérées dans la console, elles déclenchent un téléchargement obligatoire, nécessitant une connexion internet. Nintendo précise cependant qu’elles ne sont pas liées à un compte, offrant une flexibilité de revente ou d’échange. Un compromis entre physique et dématérialisé, critiqué par certains puristes.
