Les années 80 sont fructueuses avec Nintendo mais Namco allait mettre une claque à tout le monde dans les années 90 avec Ridge Racer, Air Combat, Tekken, Soul Edge, Time Crisis... tous sans exceptions sur PlayStation. Namco c'est aussi la série musicale des Taiko no Tatsujin, de RPG Tales of, Xenosaga... Une somme de hits remarquable pour un éditeur majeur de l'industrie des jeux vidéo.

Masaya Nakamura est mort



Bandai Namco a annoncé le décès de Masaya Nakamura, fondateur de Namco, à l'âge de 91 ans, le 22 janvier. Tout commence en 1955 à Tôkyô, lorsque Nakamura installe deux chevaux électriques pour enfants sur le toit d'un grand magasin. Son entreprise de manèges se nomme Nakamura Manufacturing, qui deviendra plus tard Nakamura Amusement Machine Manufacturing Company, finalement abrégé en Namco.
