- Sony announced a new animal-themed costume update for the Japanese version of LittleBigPlanet for the PlayStation 3. Toro costume, from the Doko Demo Issyo series, will be available on November 13, at 200 yens. New costumes will also include a frog, a guerilla, a shark, and a penguin, each at 100 yens. An Animal Pack costume pack will be available at 300 yens.

- Square Enix has unveiled some details about Dissidia : Final Fantasy soundtrack which is scheduled for December 24. The Dissidia : Final Fantasy Original Soundtrack consists of two CDs. Two special versions (first press edition) of the soundtrack (same musical content) available at 3.500 yens will include artworks from Yoshitaka Amano.

- Capcom announced that Dead Rising for the Wii will be released on February 19, 2009 in Japan. The game will be priced at 7.340 yens.

- Sega has announced that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Sonic Unleashed in Japan are getting pushed back from their original December 18 release date to spring 2009. Sega has confirmed that the Japanese version of Sonic Unleashed isn't being delayed due to any changes within the game.

- Ubi Montreal shooter Far Cry 2 has cleared more than 1 million units since it released at the end of October.

- Square Enix has announced that Valkyrie Profile DS for the Nintendo DS will be released on March 17 in the US, Dragon Quest : The Hand of the Heavenly Bride is scheduled for February 17.
