During the Comic Con of NYC, Joshua Ortega the Gears of War's scribe from epic Games introduced IGN that the game will be a real saga which will take our attention for the next ten years. It also compares its saga with the famous Star Wars one.

'You will not be disappointed in the next ten years,' Ortega said, 'It's a ten-year plan. Gears is long-term. The Lancer is the new Lightsaber.'

Actually he also told that we must continue to wait for something for the solo campaign in Gears of War 2, let's hope something more interesting than the actual scenario of this second opus will come out soon.
