Square Enix has released some new screenshots of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for the Nintendo DS (2008 Japanese release date confirmed) in the latest Shonen Jump magazine. We can also see screens from Kingdom Hearts : Birth by Sleep for the PSP.

Update: Kingdom Hearts Network has posted a nice summary of important new info about the games.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

- Release date: still 2008
- Axel and Naminé blurb: "The red hair man, Axel, is talking to another person (or party). In the seven days, Naminé is referred to as "that girl" whose one form is...!? Also, the mystery of the seven days is about how everyone looks the same [from when they were whole]."
- Axel's quote in image: "How many times have I returned!?"
- Words over the picture: "Senior Organization XIII member makes his appearance!!"
- The quote in DiZ and Naminé's picture: "Without fail, she can't stand it anymore."
- Words over the picture: "'That girl' has one form...!?"
- Roxas blurb: "Organization XIII's newcomer, who has the same goal as his peers. While having a brief stay in the Organization, every day becomes more clear about his existence(?)."
- Blurb on top of the picture in the right hand corner: "Organization manipulates Roxas by sending him out on missions!!"

- Xaldin shows up as a supporting character.
- Able to visit Beast's Castle at one point. (Right hand side image.)
- A special point system appears at the left hand corner of the image.
- The bottom part of that image shows a map.
- Roxas' icon has indeed changed.
- The HP bar looks like it's depleting.

Kingdom Hearts : Birth by Sleep

- Release date: still undecided
- The special battle system appears to be called "Shot Lock System".
- Right side huge text blurb: "'Shot Lock System' special ability begins!!"
- Words above Ven's picture: "Return to the keyblade! The past battle's history!?"
- Blurb to the right of Ven: ""By popular demand, a new special ability in a thrilling action battle makes its appearance!! The main character is Terra. He's shooting bullets of light in a continuous attack!!"
- Blurb underneath Ven: "In the center [picture] is the main character, Ven. The hero, Sora, and Organization XIII's Roxas both seem to resemble him.....!?"
- Blurb at the bottom right hand corner: "The enemy [attacks] but the surprise is saved. Shot Lock mode is powerful!! All at once, the enemy is defeated with a big lock-on on it.
- Terra shows his destructive power while being able to stand.
- You're able to lock-on and do a special dash technique on the enemy.
- In the bigger picture shows Ven and Jack, the mouse from Cinderella, without his hat. Ven must've shrunk (because of the Fairy Godmother)?
- Aqua still hasn't shown up.
