D'après le site IGN, Konami ne sortira pas un jeu Silent Hill sur GameCube, en effet, lors de la dernière conférence de presse organisée par l'éditeur, Metal Gear Solid : The Twin Snakes était le seul jeu présent dans la partie GameCube du Line-Up 2004. Silent Hill 4 ne sera donc probablement jamais adapté sur la console de Nintendo.

Silent Hill 4 : The Room est prévu pour la fin de l'année au Japon sur PlayStation 2 et Xbox, le quatrième épisode de cette série déjà mythique mettra en scène de nouveaux personnages dont notamment Henry Townshend, le personnage principal du jeu.

'Was wondering if there's been any word about Silent Hill coming to GC? I know they put the 'novel version' on GBA two years ago, but any news recently? Especially with SH4 coming out? Please say 'yes' (but I'm not holding my breath).

Matt responds (IGN) : Sorry, but it doesn't look likely. We've flat-out asked Konami whether or not a Silent Hill game would come to GameCube and the answer has always been no. As if to further prove this, the publisher recently held a press event to show off some of its 2004 lineup and the only GCN title on-hand was Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. So in other words, you're doing the right thing: don't hold your breath.'
