Salut,
Play Asia a posté le review de
Berserk Musou de
Famitsu.
This week's Famitsu contains the review for Koei Tecmo's Berserk and the Band of the Hawks. The review staff gave very high scores praising both animated scenes and 3D model scenes. They also noted that some scenes from the series isn't present in the game, but it doesn't take away from the experience. The only criticisms given for Berserk were wanting longer pre-battle events and that strong bosses as well as enemies feel similar to each other.

Yoshida (9):
Fusing the gameplay of the Warriors series with the manga, Berserk is a perfect fit. The game’s story begins with the “Golden Age” Arc up to the “Hawk of the Millennium Empire” Arc showing various scenes from the Berserk animated movies having event scenes with 3D models… this game is filled to the brim! When Berserk comes to mind, you always have the image of Guts with his Greatsword chopping and crushing his enemies and you will be able to do so in-game since Guts plays as you would expect.
Uwaman (9):
The Warriors series and Berserk have always had an affinity and soon you will be able to get your hands on it and have the feeling of playing the perfect Berserk game. Not only will you be able to handle the Dragonslayer, but a variety of weapons from the manga and using them all feel so satisfying and very entertaining.
As half of the story is based in the “Golden Age” the game’s event scenes are all based around the animated movies then transition into event scenes with 3D models which is very innovative. There are some scenes that don’t appear in the game, but it doesn’t take away from the story or ruin it in any manner…… I mean Schierke and the aftermath of the Eclipse makes it into the game which will entice Berserk fans far and wide!
Namuko (9):
Guts, the 100 man slayer combined with Warrior game action is a perfect fit!
Swinging around Guts’ Greatsword as well as using various sub-weapons during battle is so exciting. Performing a little combo from ploughing enemies into the ground followed by a mix up with a sub-weapon is just pure fun. Receiving support and creating tactics with partner characters really creates further depth during battles.
Cutscenes both animated and event scenes are wonderful and add to the feeling of the Berserk interactive experience. The only bad point is that I wish the pre-battle events were a little longer, but I feel that’s me just asking for too much.
BunBunMaru (8 ):
The animation and event scenes are used profusely and it doesn’t make light of the dark bloody atmosphere of Berserk. The game is filled with enough to keep you playing for months and months with all characters playing differently and playing exactly like their manga counterparts (nice job Omega Force) which feel incredible.
Frankly, in my opinion, battling strong enemies and bosses feel plain and are very similar to each other and targeting enemies feels like it was created half-heartedly.
Vivement fin octobre !
