Apres la Gamescom, certains developpeurs comme des anciens de chez Bioware ou Naughty Dog avaient montré leurs interets envers le Cloud Computing quittent a vouloir le retour du "Always On".

Ils semblerait maintenant que d'autres developpeurs mise a part ceux travaillant sur Crackdown 3 commencerait petit à petit a utiliser cette technologie.
En effet durant une interview, Shannon Loftis, à la tete du first-party publishing chez Microsoft Studios a avouer que d'autres développeurs attendent avec impatience que Microsoft finissent d'optimiser tous les codes concernant le cloud afin qu'une nouvelle vague de jeux puissent en tirer profit :

"Q: Are there any other developers you can talk about right now that are using the Xbox One’s cloud technology?

Loftis: Many people are exploring it. I’m aware of a couple of other developers that are anxiously waiting for us to finish our code so we can hand it off to them. So yeah, I do think that this is the start of a new wave."

Ils seraient interessant de voir ce que pourrait apporter cette technologie dans d'autres jeux tel qu'un Elder Scroll ou un Battlefield par exemple, de la destruction totale des decors à la physique de l'eau, la vegetation, les particules, la distance d'affichage ou bien d'autres utilisation qui permettrait de rendre ces jeux encore plus vivant.

Crackdown 3 quand à lui s'en servira pour proposer une destruction de 100% des decors :

Ils ont l'air d'avoir fait du bon boulot sur le visage de Drake, de meilleurs textures sur le visage et les cheveux

D'apres Techland, le jeu pourrait bien etre trop ambitieux pour cette generation de console qui ne fait pourtant que débuté

"are even doable with the tech that the current consoles provide".

Speaking about the unannounced project at Gamescom, Smektala said that it is "too early" for Techland to go into specifics about its plans for a sequel, but that it already has "lots of very ambitious ideas".

"Of course, we're not talking about [Dying Light 2] just yet," he said, "but the reason for that is that it is too early. We have lots of very ambitious ideas so first we need to check if these ideas are even doable with the tech that the current consoles provide.

"We also need to check if our concepts are really as good as we think they are, so we need to prototype things. So there is nothing to talk about, and on the other hand there are lots of things going inside our studio where we test, prototype and experiment with stuff. But I think right now we have a very clear idea of what we can do with the IP and with the universe of Dying Light, so expect good things from us."

Phil Spencer, dans une interview par PC gamer apres la gamescom concernant certains jeux presenté comme Scalebound, Quantum Break et Crackdown 3, explique avec plusieurs raisons pourquoi certains jeux Xbox One ne sont pas annoncé sur PC contrairement à Halo Wars 2.

-Tout d'abord il explique qu'au debut du developpement de ces jeux la, leur politique concernant le PC etait different, apres l'echec du Game For Windows Live, ils avaient l'intention de laisser le PC de coté puis avec l'arrivé de Satya Nadella, Windows 10 et sa venue a la tete de la division Xbox ont fait qu'ils voient les choses d'une autres maniere, cependant arrivé comme ça en plein milieu du developpement d'un jeu et demandé à l'equipe de rajouté une autre plateforme ne leur semblait pas juste pour les studios.

-Le second fait est qu'il explique que certains jeux console ne fonctionnerai pas sur PC et ne sont pas fait pour cette plateforme et vice versa.
En revanche ils pensent qu'ils ont des licenses qui pourrait bien se preter au PC et qu'ils envisagent d'en faire revenir quelques unes uniquement sur PC.
Il souhaiterai enrichir leur catalogue de jeux Windows et pour cela il souhaite y aller doucement et en prenant les bon choix.
Rappellons egalement qu'il y a quelques mois Microsoft à ouvert un nouveau studio du nom de Decisive Games dans le but de créer des jeux de strategie temps réel en utilisant une franchise tres connu, le retour d'Age of Empire ?

"In the case of things like Scalebound or Crackdown or Quantum Break, you know, just to be completely honest with you, we started those games before we really looked at expanding into Windows in the way that I wanted to bring as part of becoming head of Xbox.

"Going to those teams mid-cycle and saying: ‘Hey, by the way, I want to add a platform,’ didn’t really feel like necessarily the best way to end up with the best result for the game. They had a path that they were on. It’s not to say those games could never come to Windows, but right now we’re on the path to finish the great games that they’ve started, and I want that to be the case. These games are on a path, whereas with, like, Halo Wars 2 I had the opportunity from the beginning, when we’re sitting down with the studio, to say, ‘Here’s the target. Here’s what we wanna go do.’

"Even with Gears, like the Gears 1 remake, we thought about framerate, we thought about multiplayer. The opportunity to bring it to Windows in a refreshed way felt like a great opportunity from the beginning. I’m trying to be more deliberate in the choices that we make."

It sounds like more Xbox games could appear on PC, but only if MS feels they suit the platform. Spencer also implied that we could see some series from Microsoft's past return "purely on PC".

"What I’d say is, my goal is to bring—to build—great PC games, and I think there’s some great PC games that can come from the things that we’ve done on console, but that’s not the only place that they would come from. And there might be some games in our console portfolio that don’t work on PC, and vice versa.

"I look at the franchises that we have on console and I think there are some franchises that can work really well on PC. I also think about some of the things in our past, as Microsoft, that we used to have on PC, and say, ‘Boy, wouldn’t it be great if we brought some of these games back purely on PC.’"

"So I’m stating it again, I’m kind of less in the broad sweep of, ‘Everything should be over here and over there,’ because I think in certain instances that might not be the right model, but I definitely want to build out our Windows games portfolio, and we’re making slow progress on that. But slow in a way that I think is good, because we’re being deliberate about the games that we’re deciding and make sure we have a real plan."
