Description:
Samus Aran is well-known throughout the galaxy as an efficient and experienced bounty hunter. Few other hunters can compete with Samus' long history of successful missions, most of which were carried out against insurmountable odds. The majority of fans will know Samus best, of course. Ever since her debut in the original Metroid, Samus has been a symbol of the Metroid franchise. Of course, nowadays, her deep dark secret (of being a hot babe in a suit) is out in the open, though she is newly joined with six other hunters that each have secrets of their own. Samus will most assuredly be the first choice for all players on launch day, at least for a round or two.


Hunter Name: Kanden
Race: Unknown
Modes: Biped, Stinglarva
Weapon of Choice: Volt Driver

Description:
A lab experiment gone awry, Kanden was created to be the ultimate soldier. However, stress from the neural combat encoding sequences was more than Kanden's still-mortal brain could handle and left him ferocious, deadly and dangerously unpredictable. Aside from the information listed here, Kanden is still a very mysterious character. Though we aren't sure of which race Kanden belongs, it is safe to assume he is some sort of evolution from the Stinglarva. When seeing this guy in action some players will fall instantly in love, as his non-biped form is one of the best we've seen thus far.


Hunter Name: Spire
Race: Diamont
Modes: biped, Dialance
Weapon of Choice: Magmaul

Description:
Spire is thought to be the sole remaining Diamont, an ancient race of silicon-based lifeforms whose bodies are composed of organic rock. Spire travels the galaxy as a bounty hunter searching for information on the location, or fate, of the rest of his people. Spire is an amazingly interesting character. While his biped form is one of the largest in the game, his transformation is awesome. Players will find that transforming from biped to Dialance will be a great technique, as Spire's external anatomy doubles as a wrecking ball. Work him from a distance if you expect to survive.


Hunter Name: Weavel
Race: Space Pirate
Rank: General
Modes: Biped, Halfturret
Weapon of Choice: Battlehammer

Description:
Once a powerful Space Pirate General, Weavel was critically wounded during an altercation between the Space Pirates and Samus Aran. With just his brain and spinal cord still functional, his body was fused with a mobile life support system. Weavel brings a great presence to the other hunters. While there isn't much we can say about Weavel at this point, we have gotten a hint at his troubled past. There aren't many players out there that won't want to give this warrior a few rounds. What better way to take out Samus than with a Battlehammer wielding madman that was nearly destroyed by Aran herself?


Hunter Name: Trace
Race: Kriken
Modes: Biped, Triskelion
Weapon of Choice: Imperialist

Description:
Trace is a Krinken, one of the most hated and feared races in the galaxy. Every Krinken, when he reaches a certain age, is exiled by its clan for a rite of passage. Trace is currently in exile, traveling the galaxy looking for planets to expand the Krinken empire. This insect-like gladiator may be the strangest of all the hunters, though he packs a huge punch in the arena. His Triskelion form is fast, and as a biped, he can go toe-to-toe with the rest of them. Information on his preferred weapon, known as the Imperialist, has been revealed only to a handful of hunters at this time.


Hunter Name: Noxus
Race: Vhozon
Modes: Biped, Vhoscythe
Weapon of Choice: Judicator

Description:
Noxus is a member of the Vhozon, a proud and reclusive race that inhabit the outer rim of the galaxy. A spiritual being who walks a harsh, righteous path, Noxus has become a bounty hunter to administer justice to the galaxy's criminals and evildoers. Though Noxus seems to be a chaotic good classification of fighter, destroying all evil no matter what the cost, little is known of his reason for entering the multiplayer arenas. Though there seems to be no apparent reason for his hatred towards Samus, only progression through story mode will reveal all the details. Noxus' weapon of choice, known as the Judicator, unleashes a strong grenade-launcher attack. We've seen it in action, and it packs a serious punch.

Race: Unknown
Modes: Biped, Lockjaw
Weapon of Choice: Shock Coil

Description:
Little is known about the mysterious bounty hunter known as Sylux, other than the fact that Sylux harbors an intense hatred for the Galactic Federation and the bounty hunter who has helped the federation time and time again - Samus Aran. Character origin, weapon preference specifications, and Lockjaw attack abilities have yet to be seen as well.

The reason that we have on SDK, or agreement with Nintendo is becasue, when we contacted Nintendo about obtaining a SDK, Nintendo asked us to prove that we had the skills to deliver such a promising title. As a development studio, we decided to build a demonstration of what we could achive within a professional development enviroment. If your class mate can do better then point me to his portfolio I would love to see it. As for screenshots, well untill the right people at E3 have seen it I am afraid, the chances of seeing anything in game on this site or any other, that resmbles the true quality of Orb are slim. I hope this will draw a line under this silly argument.

Bien qu'on ne devrait pas avoir droit a quelques screens inédits ou vidéos d'ici la, le jeu sera vraisenblablement présenté sous forme de vidéo, ou de démo (version PC) mais encore la, les chances sont minces. À noté qu'ils développement présentement le jeu sur un engine PC puisqu'ils ne possèdent pas les sois-disant kits.

DS popularity continues to be red hot in Japan; new, smaller model sells out within hours.

The launch of Nintendo's DS Lite in Japan today was a ferocious display of the power of the portable. The redesigned handheld generated far larger crowds than the launch of the original, and as expected, units sold out within hours of its morning release.

Le lancement de la Nintendo DS Lite au Japon, aujourd'hui, fut un affichage féroce de la puissance (attrayance) du terme «portable». Le nouveau modèle de la console a deux écrans a produit un effet de foules chez le consommateurs bien plus grande que lors du lancement initial de la bête. Comme prévut, les petits d'unités distribués par Nintendo se sont envolés comme de vulgaires petits pains chauds.

Today's lines proved that the company's plans have been a success. In an official statement, Nintendo announced that it will ship over 450,000 DS Lite units and 200,000 regular DS units during the month of March.

La forte demande actuelle démontre très bien que Nintendo sort vainqueur de son pari. Plus de 650 000 unités des différents modèles réunis seront disponibles ce mois-ci, malgré le fait que qu'aujourd'hui même plus de 100 000 unités ont déjà prenneur.

Nintendo's social phenomenon shows no signs of letting up.

The original Japanese DS launch was pretty quiet thanks to generous supply and a comprehensive pre-order program that ensured anyone who wanted a system could get one without hassle. It may have lacked the carnage of a PSP or PS2 launch, but those who wanted some quality games without the headache of getting up early and waiting in the freezing cold probably weren't complaining all that much.

Much of the systems' success can be attributed to the new audience Nintendo has captured through its Touch Generation label that include such big games as Nintendogs, Brain Flex and Animal Crossing (the latter has shipped 2 million units). We noticed a wide demographic at the Bic Camera at which we'd lined up. In addition to a wide variety of people willing to wait a few hours in line, we noticed girls, elderly couples and businessmen making inquiries about the system's availability.

L'énorme succès de la Nintendo DS, du hardware, est surtout du au fait que Ninendo a attrapé au vol l'attention du consommateur avec sa vague de jeux «Touch Generation» en créant une nouvelle demande, une nouvelle façon de jouer. Cette nouvelle clientèle, bien que des couples, des femmes ou des hommes d'affaires ( c'est eux qu'on pouvait apercevoir dans les lignes d'attentes) jouent, s'amusent, s'éclatent sur des titres tirés de cette nouvelle vague de jeux : Nintendogs, Animal Crossing Wild World et nul autre que Brain Training.

And best of all, today's launch was exclusively for the white version of the system. Nintendo will launch two more colors on 3/11, a Saturday. The phenomenon won't be coming to an end any time soon.

Et le meilleur dans tous ca, Nintendo va lancer ce week-end deux coloris en sol japonais. À noté qu'un seul colori était disponible aujourd'hui, espérons que que les deux autres coloris apporteront un tantinet de profondeur pour ce qui attrait aux stocks. Le succès que rencontre Nintendo ne devrait pas s'estomber d'ici les prochains mois.

Electronic Arts hints at handheld version of upcoming PC sim.

Thanks to various emails from IGN readers all over the web, we learned today that software mega-publisher Electronic Arts is looking for staff to beef up its Spore development team (as evidenced on several employment classifieds). The interesting thing about the position openings is that they're for a previously-unannounced handheld version of the game.

Il semblerait selon certaines sources d'IGN, qu'Electronic Arts soit à la recherche d'une équipe pour le développement de sa nouvelle franchise « Spore » sur console portable sans, bien entendu, en dire d'avantage sur les plans de la firme. Aucune console n'a été mentionnée jusqu'ici.

Nintendo Japan Announces DS Shipping Numbers, Game Delays

If you're not already in line, you're probably out of luck.

Eh oui, la Nintendo DS Lite se fait ragement attendre ! Si vous n'étiez pas en ligne ce matin pour devenir le prochain acheteurs de ce nouveau petit bijou à deux écrans, il faudra attendre encore quelques semaines pour mettre la main dessus.

Nintendo Japan has announced some surprisingly specific shipment figures for the DS and DS Lite in Japan. According to a press release from the company, Japanese retail will take shipment of over 450,000 DS Lite units and over 200,000 standard DS units this March. The company did not give numbers on a per color basis.

Évidament, puisque seulement la DS Lite White sortait ce jour même.

The press release went on to explain that Nintendo expects demand to far outstrip supply for the time being, but promises to get as many hardware units out as possible. The standard model DS is still sold out throughout Japan, and the DS Lite, which goes on sale on Thursday morning, is expected to disappear from retail shelves quickly.

Apparament, les stocks vont s'envoler tellement vite, qu'une deuxième pénurie va se faire sentir. La demande est énorme, Nintendo ne peut augmenter la cadence de production ce qui les force à ne pas pouvoir satisfaire la quantitée exigée de consoles portables par le consommateur nippon.

One casualty of Nintendo's problems with meeting consumer demand for the DS hardware is the company's Touch Generation series games. Nintendo has delayed two titles by a few weeks in order to make sure it gets more hardware out first. Kanji Sono Mama DS Rakubiki Jiten, a DS kanji dictionary, will miss its 3/30 release date, instead arriving on 4/13. Volumes 1 (Thailand), 2 (China) and 3 (Korea) of Nintendo's Tabi no Yubi Sashi Kaiwachou DS series of travel companion products will slip from 3/20 to 4/20, with volumes 4 (America) and 5 (Germany) slipping from 4/13 to 4/27.

Quelques jeux voient leur date de sortie repoussé de quelques jours ou quelques semaines pour permettre à ces derniers de faire de meilleure vente, lorsqu'il y aura plus (bcp) de consoles disponibles. Voila une nouvelle qui expliquerait le report de Tales of the Tempest.

Mario & Luigi : Partners in time, développé par Alphadream à qui nous devons l'opus précédent, débarquait il y a quelqeus jours sur la console à deux écrans de Nintendo. À l'instar de Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, cet opus nous transporte dans le même contexte où l'on y ajoute les babies mario, luigi et compagnie.

Alors que tout était calme au château de Princess Peach, une bande de veinards venus du ciel viennent troubler cette belle fraternité. En effet, une bande d'extratérestres s'empare de la belle demoiselle et par la même opportunité, décident de s'installer .. imaginer la suite !

[IGN] : 9.0/10 : Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time has an even crazier story, funnier dialogue, more elaborate puzzles, and more action-based fights than the original game.

[Gamespot] : 8.9/10 : Partners in Time might not have as strong of a script as the previous Mario & Luigi, but it's still another charming, high quality RPG worth any DS owner's while.


[1UP] : 9.0/10 : Calling Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time a role-playing game wouldn't be entirely accurate. It's not a pure action game, it's not really an RPG...and it's not even an action-RPG.

[Crusade`s Blog] : 9.5/10 : Mario & Luigi : Partners in time est très semblable à ce que Nintendo fait ces dernières années en matière de RPG, surtout lorsqu'il s'agit de la franchise mario. L'excès de fun qui se dégage du chara-desing des personnages dans leurs expressions et dans leurs gestes sont délirantes tout au long. Un très bon scénario mélangé à une superbe 2d fantastique, ainsi qu'aux certains clins d'oeil lancés à la série Paper Mario, nous fait oublier le quelque peu de défauts qui se cachent sous ce merveilleux opus.
