Atlus a publié un communiqué officiel sur son forum concernant le futur patch du jeu ainsi que sur NESTS Style Kyo qui sera retardé sur PS3.

On y apprend que le patch devrait "régler les rares bugs découvert depuis la sortie du jeu, optimiser l'évaluation des connexions" et introduire un filtre pour le mode ranking afin d'éviter de tomber sur les connexions une barre sans pouvoir partir.

Le problème concerne donc le netcode: l'évaluation des connexion (l'indicateur de barres en fait) sera optimisé, mais qu'en est-il d'optimiser la connexion elle même ?

Deuxième point: Ex Kyo. Comme dit en début d'article, il sera reporté au 10 janvier 2012 sur PS3. A noter que pour faire passer la pilule (car c'est le deuxième perso au démarrage loupé sur PS3), EX Kyo ne coûtera que 2,99$ sur le store US (rien n'est spécifié pour les autres stores).

ATLUS RELEASES NEW DETAILS ABOUT FORTHCOMING ONLINE PATCH FOR THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII, REVEALS THAT NESTS KYO DLC WILL BE SLIGHTLY DELAYED FOR PLAYSTATION 3 SYSTEM AND WILL LAUNCH AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE ($2.99) TO COMPENSATE


IRVINE, CALIFORNIA -- DECEMBER 19, 2011 -- ATLUS today released new information regarding the upcoming online patch for THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII, the latest entry in the legendary fighting franchise, for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system (PS3™) and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

According to ATLUS and developer SNK PLAYMORE, the patch will seek to make the game's network infrastructure more consistent for users, ensuring that the evaluation given connections is more accurate to the actual play experience. Moreover, the patch will introduce ranked host-side filtering, eliminating the frustration of match hosts unable to avoid matches with players with poor connections. In addition to a number of other improvements, the update will also address a number of rare glitches reported since the game's release. No release date currently exists for the update, but ATLUS reports that the developer is making every effort to release the patch as soon as possible.

ATLUS also today revealed that the North American PlayStation®Network release of NESTS Kyo, the next DLC character to be made available, would be delayed until 1/10 due to a technical error. The Xbox LIVE® Marketplace release (12/20) of the DLC will not be affected.

"We apologize to our PlayStation 3 system KOF XIII fans for the slight delay of the next downloadable character," stated Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales at ATLUS. "In gratitude to our fans for their patience, we will be discounting the NESTS Kyo character to $2.99 for a limited time when it is finally released in the North American PlayStation®Store on 1/10."
