Le magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) publie un petit article intéressant concernant Mario Kart DS sur Nintendo DS qui a été présenté en démo jouable à l'occasion des dernières conférences de presse de Nintendo. Le jeu proposera des graphismes en 3D et un mode multijoueurs sans fil. Mais le magazine va plus loin en annonçant que Mario Kart DS sera l'un des premiers jeux jouables Online et devrait sortir durant le mois de juin prochain aux Etats-Unis. Cette information n'est pas encore officielle. A confirmer.

'DS - June 2005 - By now plumber turned action-game superstar Mario has spent more hours behind the wheel than he has behind the toilet plunger. The year 2005 will be a banner one for Mario Kart fans : This DS version will be the first to offer online multiplayer karting action, and Nintendo and Namco will also bring Mario Kart to arcades as an all-new, four-player, sit-down racer with new tracks and power-ups.'
