Accusé en juillet 2011 d'avoir violé un brevet pour l'affichage 3D de sa 3DS, Nintendo comparaissait en début de semaine devant un tribunal de New York pour s'en expliquer, comme le rapporte Reuters.

Selon les avocats du plaignant, Seijiro Tomita, un ancien ingénieur de Sony, Nintendo aurait profité d'une présentation de la technologie élaborée (mais pas encore brevetée) par Tomita, en 2003, pour s'en inspirer et l'utiliser dans sa nouvelle 3DS quelques années plus tard. Pour sa défense, le constructeur évoque "plus d'une centaine" de rendez-vous avec des intermédiaires spécialisés dans l'affichage 3D et indique avoir rencontré son futur partenaire pour la 3DS, Sharp, dès 2002. Tomita réclame 9,80$ par machine vendue comme dommages et intérêts.

Pas de Lords of Shadow 2 sur WiiU

Ceux qui espéraient encore l'annonce d'une version Wii U pour Castlevania : Lords of Shadow 2 risquent d'être fort marris, son producteur ayant douché hier les espoirs des fans en un seul tweet.

Répondant à un abonné demandant si la Wii U aurait l'honneur d'accueillir la suite du jeu de Mercury Steam, Dave Cox s'est contenté d'un "désolé de vous décevoir, mais aucune chance". Les possesseurs de machines Nintendo devront donc se contenter de Castlevania : Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, l'opus 3DS de transition attendu pour début mars en Occident. Une démo sera d'ailleurs disponible sur l'eShop juste avant la sortie du jeu, toujours selon le producteur.

Pas de Crysis 3 sur Wii U

Crysis 3 won't receive a Wii U version, it has been confirmed.

Despite being a "possibility" last year, CEO and founder of Crytek Cevat Yerli said "there is no Wii U version" due to a lack of "business drive" between publisher EA and Nintendo.
