Comme vous le savez sûrement, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd est devenu en 2 semaines un triple Million-Seller et Capcom n'a pas manqué de s'auto-féliciter de cette franche réussite. Ce communiqué de presse destiné aux média occidentaux en est la preuve:





Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) is pleased to announce that "Monster Hunter Freedom 3" for the PlayStation®Portable (PSP®) has shipped three million units in Japan.

Since its release on December 1st, "Monster Hunter Freedom 3" has enjoyed explosive popularity, leading to long lines at retailers all over the country. The sale of 3 million copies of "Monster Hunter Freedom 3" in 17 days represents not only our fastest selling PSP title to date, it is also the fastest selling game in Capcom's history. This brings total sales of the "Monster Hunter" series up to 16 million copies. The unique pick-up-and-play co-op design of the "Monster Hunter Freedom" series allows friends to enjoy a new type of communication through gaming.

Even after a 2 year and 8 month gap between the previous portable installment, the incredible success of "Monster Hunter Freedom 3" is due in large part to a rise of new customers drawn to the series by the unprecedented number of inter-industry collaborations. These collaborations include spinoff products, a TV anime, and a number of mobile games. In addition, the continued release of new information about the series, including the release of the trial version introduced through the game's fan club hosted on the game's mobile site, has contributed to a greater awareness of the Monster Hunter brand.

The game's promotional campaign will continue to develop as a number of user events begin, such as a campaign taking place in collaboration with the Shinshu Ryokan association starting at the end of the year, amusement installations located in metropolitan areas, and other large-scale promotions designed to maximize user participation.

Alors vous allez me dire: oui mais ça on le sait qu'il s'est bien vendu . L'interêt de ce communiqué de presse destiné aux OCCIDENTAUX réside dans le fait que ce MH est connu au Japon sous le patronyme "Monster Hunter Portable 3rd" et non pas "Monster Hunter Freedom 3" qui est quant à lui le nom occidental de la série sur PSP.

Quand CAPCOM lui même commence à utiliser le nom Monster Hunter Freedom 3 dans ses documents officiels, doit on y voir un signe d'une annonce imminente de sortie du dernier Opus sur PSP? Je crois bien que oui!

De plus on peut se rappeler des propos récents d'un représentants de Capcom qui annonçaient un retour de la série en Occident...sans oublier une interview de Capcom par Game One qui annonçait la venue des prochains MHs dans nos vertes contrées.
