Blood Elf Revealed with Specific Thoughts

Here are two pictures about the coming upgraded blood elves. We can see that the overall look is great. There are more details, better faces, glower eyes and musculature added.



Blizzard post their thought process about the female blood elf model : “The Horde has classically been about brutes, blood, and thunder. The Blood Elves bring a bit of subtlety to the Horde, and I think that was one of the most important aspects of the Blood Elves to maintain. For the female specifically, something we did often was move things around in small but deliberate increments, to make sure everything was just right. It’s the delicate details like her nose shape or fingertips that represent the most challenging parts of upgrading the female.”

About the male model, here is

the thought process: “The male Blood Elf already has a lot of character with his easily recognizable pose and stylish hair. Our update just gives us a chance to define and focus on that. His anatomy, facial features, and hair will all get an update while still maintaining his iconic look, bringing him to the level of the other new character models.”

WOW fans have kinds of attitudes towards the coming upgraded blood elf model. There are voices saying that the male blood elf has no buffs which make the character less aesthetic. The question is that does the buff matter that much in Warlords of Draenor? Maybe the answer differs according to different fans, but for me, I don’t think so.

There are WOW players happy with the model revealed. They think the upgraded blood elf are so much nicer to look and less terrible than before.
