Malgré ce texte qui semble officiel, des zones d'ombre demeurent.

Cette information est à prendre avec des pincettes car le magazine allemand Gamefront qui a annoncé la nouvelle avait également dit que Final Fantasy XIII ne serait pas présenté lors de l'E3...

Autre indice laissant présager à une rumeur : aucun site important comme Gamespot n'en parle, et pire encore, le titre ne figure pas sur la page officielle que Square-Enix a dédié au projet Fabula Nova Crystallis: http://na.square-enix.com/e306/titles/fabula/.

De plus, le logo circulant actuellement sur le web est très sommaire et l'habituel artwork d'Amano en arrière plan est inexistant :
