i fucking lOVE that game.
well the first one not as much as the 2nd but they are bot h parts of the same story right?
first of all i have to say, there is a 2nd movie.
yep gotta be: they made way more than just double what they paid for the movie and watch after the ending credits(how i liked the look on his face...) .

now.
i'm a freaking fan of the game. (the 2nd. not the first).
the way the story is told, the voice acting, the cinemas.... the bullet time gameplay didn't do it for me though..but the protagonists where really well made.

the movie is another story. i could go on and on about the games and all but i'll make it short.
the movie was a big disappointment until around 20mins from the beginning. know that this blog won't be about spoilers so you can keep on reading.
the main actor is good but not great. he talks normally, and acts normally. not like a wounded blood hungry lone wolf classing cold case files during the day and prey hunting during the night. he is way too normal ... i watched sniper a while ago and i would have liked a char more like in that movie.....
anyway. the rocky whisky downed voice of the game i can forget it.
from a foreigner point of view (someone who is not familiar with the games) it's a good movie. to me it's an ok one. it's visual, it got style but milia kunis is not that half goddess-like, single malt assassin (she could though, i can feel it) mona sax is -still the best woman i ever played with. no pun intended- and and they TOUCHED THE STORY.

i 'll explain: i think big brother is watching us. the inner circle DOES exist, and no one wanted to attract it's attention by painting it's influence in a movie. well... that still may happen in the 2nd movie but for now.... they changed things. i won't say what but when i saw the trailer i smelled an ok movie and here i am after watching it, yelling it's an ok one.

not spoilers things that i liked in the movie.
mona sax uses uzis. like in the first. she doesn't look like a high-schooler though and that is too bad (it would have emphasised her change in the second movie -if they kept walking in the game's tracks-). the first game elevator is still there.(if you played it and like mona sax -and screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! !!!!! when it happened- you'll know what i'm talking about)
the subway episode is there too.

what i didn't !
the bullet time is still there but they used it way too much. i do not mean in frequency but length.
walberg if fine but could have walked better (a man who 's been on a hunt for 3 years do NOT walk like this day is another happy one). he doesn't act like he still misses his wife but myabe a partner or something. isn short, life goes on.
freaking stupid script. one-liners said w/o any soul in it.
like HS kids reciting Shakespeare for a gig.
they are not forced but they do what they were told that 's it.
i felt like i was watching sin city sometimes. you know those weird blank spots when you got one face on the screen and it's not the one talking....weird.

anyway. i cutted it short. i have many more things to say on this and ....i have to conclude. it's wxas an ok movie means that it wasn't boring or badly made. it just didn't have the sould required to drag the watcher into it's trail.
during the whole movie i fought with my memories of the game's story. it's difficult to see something like that movie 'doing it wrong' while trying to enjoy it.
doesn't mean that i could but i wanted.

this movie is really well done and very much 'graphic' and visual. not as much as sin city but one can see the comp touch here and there and it's not badly done.
it's another version and unfortunately not the one i wanted but i knew that beforehand -they NEVER do exactly what is in the games, what's with them? not that many played the game, do they even know that?-

lastly. i'm waiting for the game (THIRD!!) to to be officially announced. they said they were working on it but it has been way too long since the news. now gta and midnight club are done i hope i'll see some MAX PAYNE mind melting news soon.
