MLB mashes up with Power Pro, and it works. Tons of customization, amazing stat-tracking, and impressive attention to detail. Lacks a bit of “Wii” feel though.


7.5 Graphics
The style is deliberately simple, but simple nonetheless. It’s slick and polished, but still basically a PS2 port.


8.5 Sound
Tons of commentary, Power Pro voices for each of the characters, Wii-mote speaker usage in Wii Remote mode, and some great overall sound design.


8.5 Gameplay
It’s a return to baseball’s roots, and it rocks. Never-ending modes, tons of options, polished gameplay, and a Wii-specific mode. Still port-ish though, and lacks online.


8.5 Lasting Appeal
Countless options, insane stat tracking, full creation mode, the RPG-like Success Mode, Mii teams, and season play w/achievements. Online is a must for next year.
