-The story takes place in European continent, the coastal fortress city Fortuna, where people believe in the legendary devil hunter Sparda (Dante's father).

-The the protagonist Nero is one of the young knights who safeguards the religious group in the city. Dante will play a hostile role in the game who pursuit the knights.

-Nero have similar power as Dante, his right arm has demon power, he can use the power to catch or throw enemies to a distance, which makes the battle more diversified.

-There is a new sword speed control system used by Nero's sword Red Queen, which can enhance the power and acceleration of the sword.

- the Devil Bringer works like a whip that brings enemies closer to you.

- The combo system is supposed to be identical to the last one.

- The enemies are full of special FX, especially the bosses (apparently they saw a Flaming Minotaur)

- Exclusive to PS3.
