Electronic Arts à Montréal

Electronic Arts a l'intention de mettre en place un nouveau studio de développement à Montréal avant la fin de l'année avec comme responsable principal Alain Tascan qui sera Vice Président et Studio General Manager. La société a effectivemment annoncé hier lors d'une conférence de presse qu'elle recherche actuellement de nouveaux locaux dans la région afin transférer une équipe de programmeurs, Electronic Arts recherche d'ailleurs à recruter du personnel sur jobs.ea.com. Des studios d'Electronic Arts sont déjà présents à Los Angeles et Vancouver.

Don Mattrick (EA worldwide studio president) : 'we know there are a lot of talented people who prefer to live and work in the Northeast. After considering several cities in the US and Canada, we decided that Montreal offered the best combination of creative talent, technology infrastructure and favourable economics.'

Bruce McMillan (EA executive vice president) : 'At EA, each of our global studios has distinctive character based on the games and franchises that are created there. I expect that in time, we could have as many as four major franchises operating out of Montreal.'
