Blizzard Entertainment annonce que pour les 1eres 24h de la sortie du jeu Diablo III, plus de 3.5 millions de copies ont étés vendues, ce qui en fait le jeu PC le plus rapidement vendu.
Ce nombre ne comprend pas les 1.2 millions de copies que les joueurs ont reçu comme part de la promotion "World of Warcraft® Annual Pass"
A la fin de sa 1ere semaine, ce nombre à déjà atteint les 6.3 millions d'unités.

Côté infos:
- Vous pouvez tuer absolument tout le monde dans le jeu
- Mais vous pouvez aussi choisir d'épargner vos victimes si vous le voulez vraiment
- Le jeu se basera sur les mécaniques vous permettant de faire un peu tout ce que vous voulez
- Il y aura une zone hub ("homebase")
- Vous serez notifier quand vos actions rajouteront plus de "chaos" dans le monde. Il n'y aura pas de moralité bipolaire.
- Vos actions résulteront pour différentes fins et attitudes des gens envers vous
- certains pourront finir par vous trahir si vous jouez le rôle d'un véritable enfoiré
- Le système de moralité ne donnera pas de récompense, devenir le monstre du chaos ne vous donnera point de "Bottes du mal, +4 en Force"
